The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs will hold a public hearing to receive public
comments on proposed changes to the Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery – General Rules rule set.
The revised rules set forth an explanation of specific terms used throughout the rule set, requirements
for telehealth services, requirements for following an adopted code of ethics, requirements for
prescribing of drugs by physician’s assistants, requirements for delegation of controlled substances
prescribing to an advanced practice registered nurse, requirements for training on identifying victims of
human trafficking, standards for accreditation of osteopathic medical schools and postgraduate training
programs, requirements for licensure, requirements for licensure by endorsement, requirements for an
educational limited license, required examination number of attempts allowed and the period for
completion, requirements for relicensure, requirements for renewal of a license, as well as requirements
for continuing education.

These rules will take effect Immediately after filing with the Secretary of State. The rules are published
the 9/15/2020 issue. Copies of the draft rules may also be obtained by mail or electronic transmission at
