Rule 2. A special license authorizes a person to sell alcoholic liquor at retail for
consumption on the premises only for a limited period of time.

Rule 4. Only a nonprofit organization may apply for a special license. All profits
derived from the sale of alcoholic liquor must go to the organization itself and not
to any individual.

Rule 5. An applicant shall ensure that its application for a special license is
received in the offices of the Michigan liquor control commission, Lansing, Michigan,
not less than 10 days before the date the license is desired. The president and
secretary of the organization making application shall sign the application in the
presence of 2 witnesses and the signatures shall be notarized.Further, an applicant shall
submit, with the application, an affidavit showing the length of time the organization
has been in existence.
