PART 3. APPEAL BOARDS AND HEARINGS  
R 408.30301 Construction board of appeals.  
Rule 301. Each county or each governmental subdivision enforcing the code  
shall establish a construction board of appeals as prescribed in section 14 of the act.  
Each governmental subdivision shall notify the commission of the establishment of  
the board and furnish the names of the members and their qualifications for serving on  
the board of appeals.

R 408.30311 Commission as board of appeals.  
Rule 311. The commission shall act as a whole to serve as a board of appeals for  
those governmental subdivisions or areas where the commission shall provide services.

R 408.30315 Plumbing or electrical appeals.  
Rule 315. Appeals referred to the commission and involving matters of plumbing  
or electrical in nature shall be directed first to the respective boards for a hearing. A  
person aggrieved by the decision of a board may then petition the commission to  
review the decision.

R 408.30316 Barrier free design board; exceptions and appeals.  
Rule 316. All requests for exceptions and appeals regarding barrier free design  
rules shall be directed to the barrier free design board, on an appropriate form,  
through the barrier free design division of the bureau of construction codes.
