In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, 1976 PA 267, as amended, the Michigan  
Board of Acupuncture met on January 22, 2026, at 611 West Ottawa Street, Upper-Level  
Conference Room 4, Lansing, Michigan 48933.  
CALL TO ORDER

2026 Public Notice  
Discussion was held regarding the 2026 meeting dates.  
HPRP Annual Report  
Sundeen presented the HPRP Executive Summary: October 1, 2023, through  
September 30, 2024, and October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025.  
HPRC Candidate Request  
Sundeen explained that under MCL 333.16165 of the Michigan Public Health Code, each  
board created under Article 15 of the Code may appoint a member to the Health  
Professional Recovery Committee (HPRC) to represent the profession. The HPRC  
manages oversight of the Health Professional Recovery Program (HPRP).

Sundeen stated that the position for the representative for the Board of Acupuncture on  
the HPRC is currently vacant. Sundeen asked for the board’s help in finding a qualified  
candidate to serve as the board’s representative on the HPRC.

Department Update  
Darnell informed the board that there will be new member board training via Zoom on  
March 11, 2026. All members are welcome to attend.

ANNOUNCEMENTS  
The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held April 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at 611  
West Ottawa Street, Upper-Level Conference Room 4, Lansing, Michigan.
