In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, 1976 PA 267, as amended, the Michigan  
Board of Psychology met on December 17, 2020. The meeting was held via Zoom,  
pursuant to MCL 15.263 and MCL 15.263a.

Temporary Resolution  
MacIntosh explained that the chairperson’s and vice-chairperson’s terms are ending  
December 31, 2020. Therefore, there is a need to have a temporary resolution in place  
appointing any remaining professional member of the Board for the Department to use as  
a contact if a summary suspension needs to be issued. The resolution will last until the  
next election occurs.

Board to vote on the letter of interest and curriculum vitae from Dr. Joseph C. Mifsud,  
Psy.D., LLP.  
MOTION by Bradish-Orta, seconded by Fernandes, to deny Dr. Joseph C. Mifsud, Psy.D.,  
LLP as the Board Representative on the HPRC.

Van Wormer thanked the Department and the Attorney General’s Office for all of their  
help over her eight years on the Board.  
Van Wormer reminded the Board that the role of the Board is to protect the public.

Department Update  
MacIntosh thanked Van Wormer and Majcher for their dedication to the Board of  
Psychology.  
MacIntosh announced that the Department will hold a new Board member training on  
February 17, 2021. All members are welcome to attend.

The next regularly scheduled meeting is March 25, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. in the Ottawa  
Building, 611 W. Ottawa Street, Conference Room 4, Upper Level Conference Center,
