3. Purpose for the proposed rules and background:  
The Genetic Counseling – General Rules are new rules and will pertain to definitions, telehealth,  
training in identifying human trafficking, licensure, relicensure, renewal, continuing education, and  
certification.  
Addition of the rules will take place to supply definitions, requirements for telehealth, identifying  
human trafficking training, licensure, relicensure, renewals, continuing education, and certification.  
4. Summary of proposed rules:  
The new rules set forth an explanation of specific terms used throughout the rule set, requirements for  
supplying telehealth services, requirements for training on human trafficking, qualifications for  
licensure, qualifications for relicensure, qualifications for renewal of a license, requirements for  
completion of continuing education, medical ethics and pain and symptom management  
requirements, as well as approved continuing education sponsors and activities.
