Adult Foster Care Large Group Homes  
3. Purpose for the proposed rules and background:  
The Adult Foster Care Large Group Homes administrative rules provide for the licensing regulation  
of adult foster care large group homes.  
The current rule set will be rescinded and recodified into a single new rule set for licensing Adult  
Foster Care Facilities that will comport with today’s practice standards, harmonize them with current  
federal law and regulations, and to reflect the current organization of state licensing functions.

These rules are 1 of 6 individual Adult Foster Care (AFC) rule sets that are being rescinded and will  
be replaced by a proposed new rule set (Licensing Adult Foster Care Facilities) that includes rules  
from all 6 sets (see 2023-71 LR).
