Sanitarians Registration – General Rules  
1. Purpose of the proposed rules and background:  
The Sanitarians Registration – General Rules pertain to definitions, training, educational standards, registration,  
examinations, and renewal, for registered sanitarians.  
Amendment of the rules will take place to supply clarity on definitions, human trafficking training, educational  
standards, registration, examinations, and renewal.  
2. Summary of the proposed rules:  
The proposed revisions include updates to environmental health baccalaureate program accreditation standards and  
environmental health graduate program accreditation standards, grammatical edits to comply with current drafting  
standards, expansion of the period in which an applicant may pass the examination for reregistration, and removal of  
the reference to the two-year registration cycle.
