The proposed rules include an explanation of specific terms used throughout the rule set, and the
requirements for training on human trafficking, accreditation for educational institutions,
accreditation for didactic programs in dietetics and dietetic internship programs, and the licensure
examination.
The rule set contains the qualifications for temporary licensure, initial licensure, licensure by
endorsement, relicensure, and renewal of a license.
The rule set establishes the requirements for completion of continuing education and pain and
symptom management and establishes approved continuing education sponsors and activities. It
further establishes that licensees shall hold an active certification with the CDR as a condition of
licensure.
Lastly, the rule set contains the requirements for supplying telehealth services, the provision of orders
related to the practice of medical nutrition therapy, and the adoption of a code of ethics.
