NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The public hearing will be held virtually via Zoom.  
The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs will hold a public hearing to receive public  
comments on proposed changes to the Veterinary Medicine -- General Rules rule set.  
The proposed rules provide definitions used in the rule set; provide a telehealth rule; identify the  
approved educational programs and examination; clarify the requirements for licensure, licensure by  
endorsement, relicensure, and educational and clinical academic limited licensure; add requirements for  
limited licensure as a senior student and as a graduate of a nonapproved veterinary education program;  
clarify the licensee’s duty pertaining to medical records; and clarify continuing education requirements.  
MCL 333.16145, 333.16215, 333.16287, and 333.18813, as well as Executive Reorganization Order  
Nos. 1991-9, 1996-2, 2003-1, and 2011-4, MCL 338.3501, 445.2001, 445.2011, and 445.2030. These  
rules will take effect Immediately after filing with the Secretary of State. The rules are published on the  
12/15/2020 issue. Copies of the draft rules may also be obtained by mail or electronic transmission at
