The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs will hold a public hearing to receive public  
comments on proposed changes to the Athletic Training -- General Rules rule set.  
Amendments will be made to the definitions for terms used in the rule set. Amendments will also update  
the training standards for identifying victims of human trafficking, add references to other administrative  
rules that impose requirements on an applicant for licensure or renewal, add requirements for a  
Canadian-licensed applicant applying for licensure by endorsement, require an applicant for licensure by  
endorsement or relicensure to disclose each license, registration, or certification in a health profession or  
specialty issued by any other jurisdiction or entity and require the applicant to demonstrate that no  
disciplinary proceedings are currently pending and that any prior sanction has been satisfied before  
being licensed by endorsement or relicensed. The amendments will also clarify the continuing education  
credits earned by holding a Board of Certification certificate for each year of the renewal cycle and clarify  
the supervision requirements when there has been a delegation by an athletic trainer to another perform  
an act, task, or function that falls within the scope of practice of an athletic trainer.

-4, MCL 338.3501, 445.2001, 445.2011, and 445.2030.  
The proposed rules will take effect immediately after filing with the Secretary of State. The proposed  
issue of the Michigan Register. Copies of these proposed rules may also be obtained by mail or
