The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs will hold a public hearing to receive public comments on  
proposed changes to the Sanitarians Registration – General Rules rule set.  
The proposed revisions include updates to environmental health baccalaureate program accreditation standards  
and environmental health graduate program accreditation standards, grammatical edits to comply with current  
drafting standards, expansion of the period in which an applicant may pass the examination for reregistration,  
and removal of the reference to the two-year registration cycle.  
By authority conferred on the department under MCL 333.16145, MCL 333.16148, and MCL 333.18413, and  
Executive Reorganization Nos. 1991-9, 1996-2, 2003-1, 2009-10, and 2011-4, MCL 338.3501, MCL 445.2001,  
MCL 445.2011, MCL 333.26364, and MCL 445.2030.  
The proposed rules will take effect immediately after filing with the Secretary of State. The proposed rules are  
published on the State of Michigan's website at http://www.michigan.gov/ARD and in the 5/15/2025 issue of the
