registration issued under the Occupational Code. MCL 339.205 requires the department to
promulgate rules that are necessary and appropriate for the department to fulfill its role.
The rules are not mandated by any constitutional provision.

The rules were last amended on December 22, 2020.
The department is implementing a new licensing system and the renewal dates for some licenses
and registrations have changed to the date that the initial license or registration was issued.
Additionally, the length of the licensing cycle will be changed for Collection Practices and
Personnel Agencies licenses.
