MS. STINEDURF: Good afternoon. This is a public
hearing on new administrative rules being promulgated under
authority conferred on the Department of Attorney General by
section 5 of the Financial Exploitation Prevention Act, MCL
487.2085. This hearing is being conducted under the
provisions of the Administrative Procedures Act, MCL 24.201
to 24.328.

This hearing is being called to order at 1:00
p.m., on July 7th, 2021, at the offices of the Department of
Attorney General, Williams Building, in Lansing, Michigan.
The notice of this hearing was published in four newspapers
of general circulation including one in the Upper Peninsula,
as well as the Michigan Register, Issue #11, published on
July 1st, 2021.
My name is Kristen Stinedurf, and I will be
facilitating the hearing today.
